A popular site for hiking and outdoor recreation, the Marin Headlands is a hilly stretch of Pacific coastline in Marin Country, just across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco, California.
The Headlands is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, a protected area of the U.S. National Park Service.
It also one of my personal favorite landscapes. I've visited this place countless times since childhood and was compelled to write music inspired by the Headlands' atmosphere. I shot the footage you see on this website in 2012 on a foggy summer day.
